WTE played their seond consecutive game at farley mowat elementary school this past Wednesday, and were forced to play on a very slippery gym floor. Despite trailing after the first half 3-2 WTE rallied back to defeat the Moving Pylons(1-2) 7-5. Goals came from Josh(2), Travis(2), Dino(1), Brad(1), Hayley(1).
Devon, having the worst performance of the early season had only one thing to say after the game “No more red bull and vodka before the game, I had the jitters all night!”. We expect to see a more focused Kunkel in next weeks match up as worst team ever takes on Girls n’ Boys.
During the game Dino “The Dinosaur” DeFranco was seen limping after a fluke miss of the ball. He is questionable for next week’s game and maybe more. We will keep a close eye on Dino’s status as it progresses. We caught up with Dino after the game “It felt as though me knee popped out of my socket, i knew something was wrong right away”. This is not a good sign for WTE, with “Aquaman” Matt Fish back in Alberta the team will have to step up and fill in the void.
Josh “The Crossbar King” O’Grady, after a slow and unlucky start in the pre-season has seemed to find his scoring touch as of late, netting 5 goals in the past 2 games. Look for him to have a big game in their next match with more playing time. On another note Josh’s linemate Brad Samuel had a little trouble pulling the trigger in Wednesday’s action as he got stoned by the opposing goalie on more than one occasion.
Look for this team to come out hard and fast on a clean Gym surface next week as your Worst Team Ever takes on Girls N’ Boys at DA Moodie @8:00pm est.

Dino “The Dinosaur” DeFranco. It just had a nice ring to it you know? like dino in the flinstones he was a dinosaur. I hope that that leg heals nicely!
Brad that’s a strong guarentee i look forward to you backing it up. It will be all over the pre-game!
No problem Clutch I like the name anyway’s. I’ll be out next week to come and watch!!The knee is not swollen or bruised and nothing popped so it is a good sign it just feels like a large bruise so it will take a couple of weeks to get back in game form I don’t want to rush it this early in the season I have some unfinished buisness to take care of!!!! Fuck I hate that fucking shitty gym we play in I hope we change places before someone else gets hurt…
no slacking off on worst team ever… game ready by Wednesday
Redbull and vodka eh? Maybe just the redbull…or just the vodka, whatever works for you.
[...] up with Dino “The Dinosaur” DeFranco who looked like he had hyper-extended his knee in last week’s 7-5 victory over Moving Pylons. Originally put on the Injured reserve a couple days ago was listed as day to [...]
